Lawyer Atuahene who is a native of Bepoa making the donation said the stationery which comprised some Oxford learners’ dictionary and story books was meant to improve upon the English language skills of the pupils and also to broaden their knowledge.

Using himself as an example, the philanthropic legal practitioner encouraged the pupils to study hard so they can attain whatever level they want to be in life.

“Life is not always smooth, there are times you’ll come across high hurdles and stumbling blocks, but never give up as I never gave when I was like you”, he advised the pupils.

He also advised them to take good care of the books to encourage other natives of Bepoa, resident in Accra whom he would contact later to help them in diverse ways.

Lawyer Atuahene promised to greatly reward from now on, the best English students in JHS one and two every academic year sending wild cheers and applause from both pupils and their teachers.

Receiving the books, the headmaster of the school, Stephen Adu Brenya, expressed gratitude to Lawyer Atuahene for the kind gesture.

He said the donation could not have come at a better time since the school’s stationery really needed to be supplemented.

“The district education office gave us some books but they have not been enough for our use”, he noted.

The Ashanti and Brong Ahafo Zonal Manager of Salvation Army Schools, Charles Adusei Poku, believed having come from a citizen of the town; the donation would boost the morale of the pupils to become great people in future.

He said the Salvation Army School needed such encourage from people and corporate entities to maintain and sustain their 100 per cent score in the Basic Education Certificate Examination which they always excel.
