Faustina Asakwa, 21, and a mother of two, has been arrested by the Tema New Town police for allegedly exposing her 7 month old girl child to danger, which subsequently led to her death.
Reports say Miss Faustina Asakwa is an unemployed Togolese who resides with a friend at Site 7 in Tema Community 1.
After single parenting her child for seven months, life then became unbearable to the extent that Faustina could no longer provide three- square-meals for herself and her two children.
According to the police, the plight of the young lady worsened, when her new born baby got ill and could not take her to hospital for medical care.
The police further revealed that Faustina Asakwa on February 4, 2010 upon noticing that the health of the poor girl was deteriorating decided to inform Timbila Abanga who happens to be the father about the illness.

And when she got to the residence of Abanga, she reportedly dumped the child on a nearby truck and left without uttering a word.
Two days after, Abanga accompanied by a friend, went to report the conduct of his ex-girl friend to the Tema New Town police.
The police after deliberations directed the child be sent to the Tema Social Welfare and was later sent to the Tema General Hospital for medical care.
But, the child unfortunately passed away at the hospital on February, 10, 2010 whilst undergoing treatment.
However, reports have it that Abanga after reporting the matter to the police has since absconded.
Faustina Asakwa, according to the police, admitted having committed the offence when she was arrested and interrogated.
However, the police are looking for the whereabout of Abanga and his friend.
