Universal Network International Youth for Peace and Environmental Development (UNIYPED), a Non Governmental Organization (NGO) has officially unveiled its website to enable the organization to function more proficiently.
The website aims at providing in-depth information about the operations, activities and functions of the organization.
“Our vision is to empower the individual and make the world a peaceful and safer heaven, free of environmental degradation,” said Mr. Peter Adjei, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of UNIYPED.
He underscored the significant roles websites could play in the smooth running of an organization.
He disclosed that the website is www.uniyped.org.
“In our present generation of information age, the UNIYPED website would serve as a one stop shop of information our activities and functions and pave way for effective networking and more international connections,” the UNIYPED CEO indicated.
It is the mission of UNIYPED to use the youth as a wheel to drive its activities which will safeguard the environment, promote peace and empower the individual in the society.
UNIYPED is an international Non-Governmental, non-profit making organization founded in 2008 to provide an international youth platform to conscientise the public on the need to preserve the environment.
It also seeks to educate people especially the youth on the need to promote peace within their immediate surroundings and thus, the world as a whole. In addressing issues from a multi-sectorial perspective, the organization emphasizes systemic and long-term approaches with a central focus on environmental, social and institutional transformation.
Peace and Environmental development are key factors in global advancement and thus, should be given the needed attention to ensure sustainability of mankind.
To that effect UNIYPED targets its programs on promoting world peace and reducing the rate of environmental degradation by sharing knowledge and resources through training programs, organization of cleanup and tree planting exercises, provision of sanitary facilities for less endowed communities and other educational endeavors.
UNIYPED focuses on improving the current state of the environment by initiating programs and workshops that educates people on the need to sustain our environment by keeping it clean and desisting from activities that destroy it, by so doing, reducing the rate of; disease infections, global warming, desertification, etc and thereby reducing mortality rate and increasing their life span on the whole.
The NGO also educates the public on the need to work towards peace among themselves, within their communities and internationally, there-by promoting and maintaining global peace.
UNIYPED mainly comprises the youth who are determined to work to improve upon the status of the environment and to promote world peace and self empowerment.
UNIYPED was founded in 2008 by Mr. Peter Adjei in Accra, Ghana.
