GBEVLO’S BOY THREATENS AGAIN TO KILL…Editors of Today Newspaper

The chief errand boy of National Security Coordinator has again threatened to kill the Editors of TODAY newspaper-Mr. Richmond Keelson; the Editor-in-Chief and Mr. Richmond Lamptey; the Editor.

Emmanuel Amedeka himself disclosed to TODAY that he is a surrogate of Mr. Gbevlo Lartey, the National Security Coordinator. That was when the paper sought his comments on information that he (Amedeka) was the one who sent the threatening text to the organizers of the AFAG demonstration.

“My brother, you should speak to my boss, Gbevlo Lartey or the Interior Minister. You didn’t even have to take a phone and call me and expect me to react…” he told TODAY.

In his second threatening text sent to the two gentlemen, Emmanuel Amedeka wrote: “OUR LAWYER “FRIEND”, SO U DID’NT WARNED “TODAY” NEWSPAPER NOT 2 PUBLISH ANYTHING ABOUT US.

LAWYER DON’T U KNOW WHAT WE ARE CAPABLE OF? HOW DID WE MANAGE 2 GET UR RESTRICTED NUMBER, WHERE U LIVE IN BUSH. U ARE NOW OUR “FRIEND” WE WILL NOT HARM U OR SEND U TO YR GRAVE.

“TELL YR JOURNALIST FRIEND, WE WILL CRASH HIM IN DAT HIS WHITE TICO. TELL HIM, B4 HE DIE WE WILL LET HIM VOMIT DA TAX PAYERS MONEY DR NDOM PAYS HIM EVERY MONTH 4 NO WORK DONE @ DA PUBLIC SECTOR MINISTRY, ABODAM. TELL HIM 2 GO AHEAD N PUBLISH MORES STUPID THINGS ABOUT US…AHU…COPY DEPUTY EDITOR “TODAY”.

The text was sent to the Editors on Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at 9:44 pm. It is an apparent follow up to the one the said Amedeka sent to his targets hoping to cow them from exposing him and his cohorts as the latest assassin group within the security apparatus threatening anybody that has a contrary view to what is espoused by government.

The paper’s hounds discovered that the text was originally sent to the unknown Lawyer and copied to the paper’s editors.

The first text from the same source read: “ WHO DO U THINK U ARE, JOKE WITH N YOU WILL SMELL UR OWN BLOOD. TOUGH SKIN GINA BLAY HAS STOP PUBLISHING NEWS ABOUT US. SHE HAS TASTED OUR DEADLY POISON. YOUR PAPER IS ALREADY ON OUR DEADLY HIT LIST. IF U A MAN GO AHEAD ANY PUBLISH ANY STUPID THING ABOUT US. ABODAM. WHO ARE U WORKING FOR N WHO IS UR MOLE, CONSIDER YOURSELF A LIVING DEAD…. STILL AHUUYA.

Notwithstanding the earlier threat, TODAY still published as its lead story on Tuesday that the threat to AFAG leadership, a day before the August 4, 2009 “Atta adaada yen” was masterminded by the said Amedeka, who it is alleged the Police dread dealing with.

What the paper cannot come to terms with is the role Amedeka expected the Lawyer mentioned in his second text message to do with TODAY’s publication.

In an interview with the Editor-in-Chief, he said he was unaware of any interest shown by any lawyer in the paper’s publication, adding that notwithstanding the dangerous threat, he still would go on giving Ghanaians credible stories that will not put government on its toes, but also expose ills in the society.

“What to you expect from an Amedeka, whose brother L/Cpl Amedeka was the chief architect of the murder of the three High Court Judges and a retired Army Officer,” the Editor-in-Chief queried, adding “he should better be aware that he is not the only security expert in town”.

“We are even aware of his meetings with Amedeka his blood bother and the murderer, and at the right time, we will expose who has been sending him to Cote D’Ivoire to meet the fugitive former Army Officer,” Mr. Keelson declared.
